Stair Close Lighting Saving Proposal

How will the saving be achieved? 

Stair close lighting is funded by a combination of both General Fund and Housing Revenue Account.  This saving proposes to transfer £71,000 from the stair close lighting budget non-HRA component to HRA, resulting in an overall saving from the General Fund of £71,000.   

If this policy is subject to the FSD what does it suggest about the impact or potential impact on socio-economic disadvantage? 

There are no impacts on socio-economic disadvantage as this saving proposal relates to a transfer of budget from the General Fund to the Housing Revenue Account, with no budget reduction, or implications for tenants and residents. 

Give details of the impact it has on groups and individuals.  

There are no communities likely to be affected more than others as this saving proposal has no impact on service delivery, as there is no budget reduction. 

What actions / measures will be put in place or are planned to mitigate any adverse impact or promote equality?  

There are no measures that could be taken to strengthen this saving proposal as it is involves a transfer of budget.  However, it is intended to carry out a future review of the HRA and non-HRA budget split.
