How will the saving be achieved?
This saving proposal relates to deletion of a NLC 10 FTE Strategic Resourcing Officer post within the Transactional Finance team. The post has been vacant for two years, with responsibility for transactional finance and procurement tasks. This saving proposal would deliver a saving of £49,400.
The responsibilities/key tasks of the Strategic Resourcing Officer have been accommodated in existing services/officer roles, through streamlining/review of service delivery and available capacity. Functions/tasks which relate to transactional finance have been delivered within existing resources in the Business Intelligence Team and procurement functions carried out by the Strategic Resourcing Officer were transferred to procurement, ensuring continuity of service, whilst improving alignment of responsibility and tasks with services.
This saving will be delivered through the deletion of one NLC10 FTE Strategic Resourcing Officer post.

There has been some impact on existing employees, specifically employees within the Business Intelligence Team who have accommodated the task of overseeing financial transactions, previously undertaken by the Strategic Resourcing Officer. This impact has been minimal, with existing capacity within the team and roles to carry out this role.
