How will the saving be achieved? 

This saving would be achieved by using Scottish Government grant to pay the costs of 2 Instrumental Music Instructors, as opposed to using council funds.  We do not anticipate a change to the establishment.

We anticipate this will not result in a reduction in staffing but rather will be a change to the funding model used.  We do not anticipate that there will be a negative impact on services available to all young people.

We know the programmes delivered by the music service are critical at promoting leadership skills and building confidence.  We have no clear evidence of impact on protected characteristics and human rights.
