Motherwell Local Outcome Improvement Plan highlights

Community Safety - Lanarkshire Deaf Hub

Community Safety is a priority for the local area, therefore the local community looked to underrepresented community groups to be involved in supporting the priority.

How did the project come about?

Volunteers from Lanarkshire Deaf Hub and Police Scotland came together to have an open Q&A session and ask any questions regarding community safety and to discuss the best ways to communicate and interact with the group.

What was the outcome?

Several contacts were made and excellent network opportunities for further meetings. Several barriers broken down and community relations increased between the police and local community residents that can be shared locally.
