Motherwell Local Outcome Improvement Plan highlights

Community Consultation - Fife Drive Play Park

Community engagement surrounding a proposed play park upgrades for the local community at Fife Drive.

How did it come about?

Discussions with the Community Partnership Officer, Forgewood Housing cooperative and NHS took place, it was suggested that the local community would benefit from the local play park being upgraded with new equipment, due to the current equipment being outdated and worn out. It was agreed that a consultation with the local children from the Forgewood family learning centre and wider community would be undertaken to capture their opinions on what new equipment they would want to see within the park.

What was the outcome?

After the consultation it has been agreed that an £100,00 upgrade to the play area is needed, this project is being developed through the Local Development Programme by the Community Partnership Team and is due to be completed 2025/26.
