To move to a hybrid model for Council and Committee meetings, whereby some attendees will be physically present in a meeting room and some will connect via remote means. This allows the Council to maintain secure social distancing within its Council meetings.

Disabled people - If an attendee is to participate remotely, rather than in person, appropriate technology or other adjustments may need to be used or made for those with a disability including any sight and/or hearing impairment and dyslexia.
Homeless people - If an attendee is to participate remotely, rather than in person, steps will need to be taken to ensure that access is available to hearings to allow for full participation in the Committee and/or meeting
Employees – may benefit as less requirement to travel to attend meetings
What actions/measures will be put in place or are planned to mitigate any adverse impact or promote equality?
- Should any person not own, or have access to, a device to enable them to remotely access meetings then facilities should be made available at which they can attend and use appropriate devices, in accordance with any COVID-19 risk assessment and public health information and guidance.
- Discussions will take place with any interested individual to ensure that all feasible solutions will be provided to permit them to fully participate in the meeting
- Testing of the system to ensure it is fit for use followed by training for appropriate stakeholders.
