Red weather warning for Storm Eowyn - Friday 24 January 2025 – Service Updates

A red weather warning has been issued for Friday 24 January 2025, between 10am and 5pm as Storm Éowyn is expected to bring very strong winds and widespread disruption.

All schools and education establishments will be closed on Friday 24 January and bin collections are suspended. Further service updates can be found here.

  • Gate Check process & approval of Evidence Report.
  • Inform and prepare Proposed Plan.
  • Publish and consult on Proposed Plan.
  • Examination of Proposed Plan.
  • Adoption and publication of NLLDP2.

Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement

The first key stage in preparing NLLDP2 is the Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement (DPS). This is an important communication tool setting out the programme for preparing and reviewing NLLDP2. We have a statutory duty to prepare and publish a DPS annually.

Following public consultation on the content of the Participation Statement, the final DPS for 2023 has now been prepared and can be accessed below.
