The council has agreed its biggest-ever capital investment programme, committing £1.685 billion over the current five-year period to revitalise towns, schools, housing, roads, and community facilities.

A new play area has been officially opened in Bogside Park, Kilsyth.

We’ve improved the quality of our homes by investing more than £29m in the past year, our housing team generated £18.8m in benefits for tenants and we’ve built 460 new affordable homes, our best yearly performance to date.  

A recent inspection by Education Scotland praised Portland High School for its strong relationships with pupils and families and its success in preparing young people for further education and employment.
