Business Support - Modern Apprenticeships
Accountancy
Working within our financial services, you'll learn about complex accounting disciplines such as advanced bookkeeping, indirect tax, management accounting: costing, spreadsheets for accounting, financial processes and ethical practices for accountants.
To achieve this qualification, you'll be required to attend college where you will complete course work and undergo exams. You may be required to study at home also. After completing the apprenticeship you will gain an award in Accountancy SVQ level 3.
Customer Service
Customer Service involves responding to a wide range of enquiries in relation to council services. You’ll deal with enquiries from multiple platforms including telephone and social media sites. You’ll be part of the transition to a more digital approach to communication and support our customers through this.
Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll gain the information and skills needed to give our customers the best experience. After completing the apprenticeship you’ll gain an award in Customer Service SVQ Level 3 / SCQF Level 6.
General Administration
We have general administration roles across a variety of our services. These admin support roles are key for any business to run smoothly.
With this apprenticeship you’ll understand how a business runs and gain a greater understanding of administration and the role that business support functions play in supporting organisations to operate effectively. After completing the apprenticeship you’ll gain an award in Business and Administration SVQ Level 2/SCQF Level 5 or SVQ Level 3/ SCQF Level 6 depending on the award you have worked on.
