We are working hard to help tenants who have fallen into arrears. Our Housing Central rents team have been successful in securing more direct Universal Credit (UC) payments and pursuing other non UC tenant debt.
This has resulted in overall arrears reducing slightly despite the onset of Covid-19, which started to impact on income recovery during the month of March 2020.

Our average rent is the second lowest average rent of all Scottish local authorities.
Our weekly rents levels are 10.3% lower than the Scottish local authority average. Our average rent return for 2019/20 was £67.69 and compares very positively against the Scottish local authority landlord average of £75.44.
