Scheduled maintenance

We’re carrying out essential maintenance to our website from noon Friday 26 April, until noon Monday 29 April. Some of our online services may be unavailable during this time.

Diet and nutrition

Improving the health and wellbeing of our communities by empowering people to make healthier choices is one of our key ambitions.

We're committed to supporting the ongoing efforts to achieve the national dietary goals for Scotland. On a local level, we contribute to the development and implementation of the strategic objectives set out in the Lanarkshire Healthy Weight Strategy.

Our Diet and Nutrition Policy outlines a multi-agency partnership approach to achieving these goals across all population groups. By working closely with our partners in NHS, social services, education and third sector community health partnerships, we will demonstrate our commitment to improving the diet and nutrition of service users, residents and staff.

This policy is supported by an action plan which is reviewed annually to monitor progress.
