Environmental Key Fund workshop

Notice of Stakeholder Workshop

Saturday 2 December 2023

The Environmental Key Fund (EKF) would like to invite you to attend a workshop where we will discuss the EKF, its history and how the fund can potentially support local projects within Shotts, Hartwood, Allanton and Bonkle.

The event on Saturday 2 December 2023 from 12pm to 2pm will be hosted by:

Getting Better Together Shotts
Springhill Community Hub
23 Knoll Croft Road
Shotts
ML7 5JF

Please RSVP by email to Growth Team.

Currently the EKF has over £650,000 available grant funding to distribute to local community groups through the Blacklaw Windfarm Community Benefits Fund and part of the aim of the workshop is to work with local communities to help shape new criteria for this fund, review grant programmes and award levels and consider other opportunities such as a fund for legacy projects. The current grant programme provides up to £50k but a legacy project could potentially be supported up to £500k.

All attendees are asked to consider an idea for a potential future project for further discussion at the workshop. Grant funding is available to eligible local organisations - come along to find out more.

Lastly, the EKF is also looking for two new directors who would represent their local community on the Board. This event will also be used to let groups know how individuals can apply for these positions.
