Investment programme 2024-25

Internal upgrades

The procedure for upgrading kitchens and bathrooms within your home.

Kitchens

By the end of 2019, we had offered all tenants the opportunity to have their kitchens replaced.

Some homes have not had their kitchen replaced for the following reasons:

  • refusal of a previous tenant
  • ill health

During 2024/25, we plan to replace kitchens in tenant's homes that have not already been completed and, where necessary, carry out a rewire where the work has not been done.

Our kitchen replacement programme is due to end this year and the programme will not start again until 2025/26.

Bathrooms

The replacing of bathrooms within tenants homes is generally done after our kitchen upgrading programme.

In 2024/25, we plan to install new bathrooms to the remaining tenants who have not yet had this work carried out as part of our bathroom replacement programme. If your home is included in this programme, we will write to you explaining what the works will involve.

We do not carry out adaptation work such as installing wet floors as part of our mainstream bathroom replacement programme.

Find out more about adaptations to bathrooms for health reasons.

Kitchens and bathrooms

We may offer some tenants a kitchen and bathroom installation at the same time. If you are part of a kitchen and bathroom programme, we will write to you approximately 12 months before the work is due to start.

Disturbance allowance

If you have a kitchen or bathroom installed in your home, you are entitled to a disturbance allowance payment.

You do not need to apply for this allowance - it is automatically issued by cheque approximately four weeks after we inspect the property.

For this reason, it is very important you are able to provide access to our staff to check the works after they have been completed.

The amount of allowance you will be entitled to depends on the electrical rewiring works that are carried out in your home.
