CCG delivered three career events. Here is a list of the schools and groups which benefited from them:

  • November 2021 - Virtual Case Study sent for employability Fortnight to Our Lady’s High School.
  • November 2021 - DYW Live Building Futures -  DYW Live Webinar on Trade Apprenticeships with Q&A from CCG first-year apprentice Joiner. Non-financial support

  • CCG donated Argos and Love2Shop Vouchers to the North Lanarkshire Christmas Appeal. These were used towards Christmas presents for 50 teenagers as per NLC NHS Lanarkshire social work request.
  • CCG donated six washing machines to local community groups, NLC's Social Work department put forward their clients most in need who were delighted to receive their washing machines, which will make a great difference to them.
  • CCG donated some excess materials "Euro Class B Corro Fundermax product cladding board" to Glenboig Life Centre"

Quote from Christine - Manager at the Glenboig Life Centre:

"The donation of materials from CCG enabled us to build a shed; roof and line a second shed and a compost area, all within our community garden.  The generosity of CCG has helped us achieve the next stage in the development of the community garden.  We now have a tool  shed and a warm area where our staff and volunteers can sit.  Without this donation we would not be in the position we now are within the garden.

"Thank you to New Supply Community Benefits and CCG for the support given to our organisation, which has been instrumental in supporting us to receive a Silver Gilt in the Beautiful Scotland awards this year.”

  • CCG donated two tonnes of topsoil to the Justice team in order to complete planters for Balmalloch Primary School.

Financial support

Through New Supply's Community Benefits, our contractors have the opportunity to offer financial support for a community project when tendering. CCG donated £2000 to our Paticipatory Budgeting (PB) fund.

Four local schools, two primary and two secondary (Denominational and Non-Denominational schools) in the vicinity of our Dykehead Road project, were each offered £500 to carry out a PB event.

In addition to the community benefits that are a formal part of the contract requirements, there are often other related benefits to local communities from the new supply programme through planning, which contribute to either enhance current play facilities or replace lost football pitches and Off-Site Play Provision.

Dimsdale Road project contributed £24,000 for play equipment for a play area at Waterloo.
