Caledonian Avenue & Dimsdale Road

The Caledonain Avenue (£5.2 million) and Dimsdale Road (£9.8 million) developments have created a total of 88 new energy efficient and adaptable modern homes for affordable rent.

Employment

CCG recruited seven new employees across both sites as construction began in November 2019.

  • 2 Cleaners
  • 3 Labourers

Career events/Site visits

CCG provided virtual site visits via Microsoft Teams calls to St. Aiden's High School in Wishaw due to the Covid-19 pandemic. CCG presented five events in total with subjects including a Quantity Surveyor session and Q&A, an Off-Site Manufacturing session, Trade Apprentices session, a Work Ready presentation and a Joinery session which included tasks for the pupils to get involved in.

Donations

CCG donated £1000 towards NHS Lanarkshire's Christmas Toy Appeal in December 2020. This donation went on to help several local families as well as pupils at two schools in Motherwell, St. Brendan's Primary School & Muirhouse Primary School. 

CCG also donated a total of £4,600 in June 2021 to our Participatory Budgeting scheme. 

In total, over two separate collections, CCG raised £360 along with essential food items for a local Wishaw foodbank. Also, £200 was donated to the Alzheimer's Unit in Motherwell to support people and their families living with Dementia.
