Service update
There will be no special uplift service between Monday 23 December and Sunday 5 January. The booking system is also closed until 6 January.
Real Christmas trees (with all decorations removed) can be disposed of free of charge at your nearest recycling centre. Please don’t present these beside your wheeled bin as they will not be uplifted.
You can book a special uplift online 24/7 using the 'Request a special uplift' button below.
You will need a myaccount and a valid payment card to access the new online form.
A charge of £38.59 per uplift is payable when you book this service.

You can book a special uplift online to dispose of household waste, such as mattresses, furniture and electricals. Choose from available dates from the booking calendar. We can remove a maximum of 10 items or 20 bags of rubbish (two bags count as one item). If you can’t find your item on the list, it means we don’t collect it.
Find your nearest disposal point for the item.
We do not accept asbestos, car tyres, car batteries, gas bottles and hazardous/special waste.
Items are separated into two categories: electrical and non-electrical. Electrical items will be collected separately, possibly on a different day.
Where to leave your items and how to prepare them for uplift
Items must be left by 7am on the morning of your appointment, at the nearest point of collection for our vehicle - this is usually the closest point to the road.
Please ensure the following:
- remove the flex from electricals
- carpets and rugs rolled and taped in bundles no longer than six feet
- keep items dry - cover your mattress/sofa
- remove or tape nails and screws
- bags should be able to be uplifted by one person - don’t overfill
- secure glass or mirror with tape
- flooring bundled in four feet lengths
The items will be photographed when the member of staff arrives, then the location photographed again when the items have been removed to confirm the uplift was completed successfully or not.
If items placed out for collection do not follow our terms and conditions they will not be uplifted and you will not be entitled to a refund. You will receive an email advising of this.
Amending or cancelling your booking
You can amend your appointment date only up until 4pm the day before by signing into your myaccount.
If your original booking is less than 10 items, you cannot add additional items later. You must cancel your booking before 4pm the day before your appointment, rebook, and repay.
Refunds
You can cancel your bookings by signing into your myaccount up until 4pm the day before your appointment and you will be entitled to a full refund. If you cancel after this time you will not receive a refund.
On cancellation, you will receive a confirmation email detailing refund entitlement if applicable. Refunds will be processed within 5 to 7 working days.
We are aware of a technical issue in our new system which occasionally does not recognise a postcode. If you experience this when making a booking, please report the issue, select the option ‘other’ and give details of your issue. We are working to fix the issue and your information will help us to do this.
Bulky uplift service
Items associated with home renovations, including kitchens, bathrooms, building materials, garden materials not suitable for your brown bin, windows and doors, must be booked as a separate collection for £110.25
Please note - this service is currently not available. You can take these items to your nearest household waste recycling centre for disposal free of charge. If you are using a van or trailer, you will need to book it in to your nearest recycling centre.
