Talented young pupils from local schools have been using their creative skills design this year’s council Christmas cards.

Schools from across the authority area were invited to design cards this year which will be sent to businesses, organisations and charities across the UK and beyond. The winning designs were chosen from pupils at Knowetop PS, Golfhill PS, Tannochside PS, Auchinloch PS, Newarthill PS, Morningside PS and St Patrick’s PS.

Provost Kenneth Duffy said: “We have some really gifted young people in our schools and the designs for this year’s cards have been outstanding. It was difficult for the judging panel to select the winners as there were so many brilliant entries. Well done to everyone who took part,

“To see their work in print will hopefully encourage our pupils to continue developing their creative talents. On behalf of everyone at the council, I would like to wish all our residents a very Merry Christmas, and a healthy and happy new year.”
