A memorial plaque celebrating the life and legacy of Sydney Devine has been unveiled outside Cleland Primary School, bringing together pupils, family, fans and members of the local community to honour one of Scotland’s most popular performers.

At its budget meeting last week, the council agreed to invest a further £200,000 in cost-of-living support in a bid to tackle poverty across the authority.

Exciting town centre housing regeneration projects are set to deliver 51 new council homes across four sites in Wishaw. 

Work to build the new St Stephen’s Community Hub in Coatbridge is making good progress and is on track to open later this year.

The new Orbiston Community Hub in Bellshill was declared officially open at a special event on Tuesday 10 March.
