Construction businesses in Lanarkshire are being asked to complete a survey to inform the future needs of the industry.
The response will allow North and South Lanarkshire Councils and their partners to understand the area’s strengths and areas for development.
The survey seeks the view of local businesses on a range of issues including the impact of covid-19 and Brexit, staffing and recruitment, skills, procurement, awareness of financial support available and tackling climate change.
"Construction is a vital part of the Lanarkshire economy, supporting jobs and investment in housing and industry and is key to the area’s recovery from the covid pandemic,” said Councillor Allan Graham Convener of the Enterprise and Growth Committee at North Lanarkshire Council.
“I would encourage businesses to take a few minutes to complete the survey and help us identify the challenges, opportunities and skills gaps facing the industry. We can then identify how best to support business in this sector in future.”
The survey has been developed by North and South Lanarkshire Councils, Skills Development Scotland, New College Lanarkshire and Construction Scotland Innovation Centre.
It is available at Lanarkshire Construction Survey (surveymonkey.co.uk).
