Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life will join the upcoming Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations by hosting a four-day festival of events from Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 June.
Summerlee Museum will celebrate the Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service for Her Majesty the Queen, during a special extended bank holiday weekend for the historic milestone.
From 10am to 4pm each day, families are invited to Summerlee to join a variety of activities, including Jubilee themed arts and crafts, meet the ponies, family music making sessions by Boomwhackers! and much more.
With free entry and no advance booking, visitors can enjoy the specially designed Jubilee trail around the site, take part in 1950s street games and even join a Jubilee street party (booking on site each day).
There will also be a small display of vintage cars, as well as a vintage ice cream van to enjoy some tasty treats.
With Jubilee activities planned each day, tram rides, playpark and large exhibition hall, Summerlee offers a great family day out. For full details, visit culturenl.co.uk
