Businesses in North Lanarkshire are invited to apply for funding for an energy audit to help identify energy savings and reduce carbon emissions.

Our Energy Audit Voucher Scheme offers 100% funding up to the value of £2,500 (excluding VAT) to engage a specialist consultant to carry out an audit.

This will give an understanding of the business’s current energy usage and inform improvements to the infrastructure and processes.

The fund closes at the end of March 2024.

Energy prices have risen between 200% and 500% in the past year, so our audit voucher scheme is an ideal opportunity for businesses to identify ways to improve energy efficiency and reduce consumption,” said Councillor Alex McVey, Convener of the Enterprise and Fair Work Committee.

“It also supports businesses to be more sustainable and reduce their carbon footprint.”

Small to medium sized businesses can apply for the funding until the end of March at Energy Audit Voucher | North Lanarkshire Council or by emailing EnergyAuditVoucher@northlan.gov.uk.

The scheme is being funded from the Scottish Government’s Local Authority COVID Economic Recovery Fund.
