100% of North Lanarkshire businesses were satisfied with the support they received from Business Gateway Lanarkshire in the first quarter of this financial year.
An independent customer survey has demonstrated that all North Lanarkshire businesses surveyed had their expectations met, benefitted from engaging with the service and would recommend the support to others.
The Business Gateway Lanarkshire contract was awarded to Enterprise North East Trust Limited, who trade as Elevator, in March last year and is managed by North Lanarkshire Council on behalf of North and South Lanarkshire Councils.
The service offers free and impartial advice to all Lanarkshire business, from those at the pre-start stage to established high turnover enterprises. Businesses can benefit from:
- 1-2-1 support from a local, professional business adviser
- free access to a research team
- online tools, templates and market reports, and
- free workshops and surgeries on a variety of topics to help businesses develop and grow.
Businesses with growth aspirations can also access up to 21 hours of 1-2-1 consultancy support on areas such as finance, marketing, HR and digital innovation.

“In 2021/22, Business Gateway Lanarkshire worked with more than 1,000 new start businesses and 400 existing companies. Their expert advisers offer advice and practical help designed to suit each individual business and enable them to achieve their full potential.”
