We have reached a partnership agreement with The Central Scotland Football Association (CSFA) that will have a lasting impact on youth football in the Central Region of Scotland.
The Central Scotland Football Association (CSFA) has been organising the popular "Fun 4s" and "Super 5s" youth football programs, drawing around 650 young players each week. These programs, held on Saturday mornings feature teams from Central Scotland clubs and help to promote young people’s participation in the game.
When the players turn 12 years old and transition into 11-a-side football, the CSFA continues to support their growth by hosting cup finals at the Cumbernauld based venue.
Under the new agreement, the CSFA will establish its official presence at Broadwood Stadium, with dedicated office space within the facility. Additionally, Broadwood Stadium will serve as the host venue for 46 cup finals in the youth football format for ages 12-18 during the 2023/24 season.
Councillor Angela Campbell, Convener of Education, Children and Families explained: "We are committed to providing young people with the opportunity to develop their love and enthusiasm for the game.
"When they start their organised football journey in the Central Region, it will begin at Broadwood Stadium and offer them first class facilities to hone their skills."
