Good causes of all shapes and sizes across North Lanarkshire are being encouraged to sign up to the North Lanarkshire Community Lottery for their chance to get a slice of ticket proceeds.

Leading lottery management company, Gatherwell, has been appointed by Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire to run the scheme, having already launched similar lotteries elsewhere.

When the lottery launches its first ticket sales on the 3rd May 2022, people will be able to purchase tickets online, and support the good cause of their choice. Tickets will cost £1 a week. The draw will be weekly with a jackpot of £25,000, other prizes being £2,000, £250 and £25.

Good causes are now invited to register to raise funds with the North Lanarkshire Community Lottery, and keep a generous 50% from every ticket they sell. The other 50% will be put towards prizes, operating costs and other good causes.

Maddy Halliday, CEO of Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire, said: “VANL are delighted to be working with Gatherwell and local community and voluntary organisations across North Lanarkshire to help them raise vital funds for the work they do to support local people and communities.”

Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire will provide regular updates on the progress of the North Lanarkshire Community Lottery through our website, ebulletins and Facebook page.
