Children and families in Millerston celebrated the official opening of the new Dunalistair Park play area on 13 December.
The new park, already proving popular with many young people in the community, features exciting new equipment chosen by the pupils, including multi-play units, a cableway, and various swings.
Kompan designed the park to meet the needs of families in the area.
It was developed with the Community Partnership Team, local school children and Stepps and District Community Council.
Councillor Geraldine Woods, Convener of the Communities Committee, opened the play area alongside pupils from Stepps and St. Joseph's primary schools, who were closely involved in the project.
Pupils also participated in a design-a-sign competition, and the winning entry is now displayed as the park's signage.
Councillor Woods said: "It's fantastic to see the enthusiasm from local children who have played a key role in shaping this space. This play area is a wonderful addition for Millerston families and provides a safe, fun place for children to enjoy for years to come."
The £150,000 project was funded by the council's Local Development Programme in partnership with the Scottish Government's Play Park Renewal Fund.
