The brand-new barista bar on campus has opened, and pupils, staff, and the local community of Bothwellpark High School can now enjoy fresh coffee and tasty treats.
The new café, run by pupils, offers a variety of barista-style coffees, teas, hot chocolates, and a selection of snacks.
It aims to create a welcoming space for pupils to relax while also allowing them to develop customer service and hospitality skills.
Headteacher Michael McGinley said: "This is an exciting opportunity for our students to gain hands-on experience in running a business while also offering a great service to our school community."
Provost Kenneth Duffy also praised the initiative: "It’s fantastic to see young people learning real-world skills that will benefit them in future careers. The Barista Bar is a great addition to the school, and I encourage everyone to support it."
The Barista Bar is open Tuesday between 10 am and 11 am, with all proceeds reinvested into school projects.
The initiative is part of the school’s commitment to workplace skills and career development through Developing the Young Workforce.
