A new free outdoor gym has opened at Moffat View, Plains, providing many exercise and fitness opportunities for the community to enjoy.
The state-of-the-art equipment has adjustable pistons that allow users to increase the resistance experienced during workouts.
It also has a free app that can be downloaded to track your fitness progress and usage and provide helpful tips.
The project cost £37,000 and was funded by North Lanarkshire Council's Local Development Programme and a grant secured by Plains Community Futures.
Councillor Geraldine Woods, Convener of the Communities Committee, said: "This fantastic new gym will provide local residents the opportunity to enjoy some exercise in the fresh air within their local community rather than having to travel outwith the village."
Matt Costello, Community Partnership Manager from North Lanarkshire Council, added: "This is an excellent example of the council's Community Partnership Team working in partnership with local community group Plains Community Futures to develop and deliver a much-needed community resource that local people will enjoy for years to come."
The gym equipment is suitable for anyone over the age of 14.
