North Lanarkshire residents can now find and book digital services in their community via a new online directory.

Community Digital Services | North Lanarkshire Council provides information on the digital activities and support offered by the council, charities, community groups and other organisations.

We have created the servies with our connectivity partner Commsworld as part of our Driving Digital Locally initiative.

“Community Digital Services will be invaluable to local people looking to access digital services but not sure where to start,” said Katrina Hassell, Chief Officer, Business and Digital Solutions.

“It allows residents to find where they can use free IT facilities and public Wi-Fi, find classes offering training in IT skills, and access digital services like e-books and newspapers.

“By making it easy to find services in local communities, the directory aims to help improve residents’ digital skills for leisure, employment or education.

“We are also asking organisations and community groups not already on the service to add their activities and help us provide a comprehensive map of online activities across North Lanarkshire.”

Organisations can add their services using an online form, and the directory will be updated three times a year to ensure the information is up-to-date.
