As the summer break approaches and we reach the end of another term, staff in schools and centres across North Lanarkshire are being thanked for everything they do to support our young people.
Councillor Angela Campbell, Convener of Education, Children and Families, said: “I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for all the hard work and dedication that all staff who work in our schools and early learning facilities have shown throughout the academic year.
“Your commitment to providing our children and families the best education, care, and support is commendable. I would also like to wish everyone a wonderful summer break.
“However, as the school term ends, we are very aware that for many families the school holidays can add additional pressure on family budgets more so now than ever as we are all impacted by the cost-of-living crisis.
"Our free Club365 holiday programme will be running throughout the summer at venues across our area.
“We would also like to remind people that the council’s 'Tackling Poverty Team' provides a free and confidential benefit and debt advice service to all residents of North Lanarkshire. The team also provides advice and support to those in crisis situations.”
