By-elections will be held in two council wards on Thursday 10 October.
One councillor will be elected in Electoral Ward 13, Fortissat, and Electoral Ward 16, Mossend and Holytown, following the resignations of Councillor Kenneth Stevenson and Councillor Frank McNally. Both councillors were elected to serve as MPs in last month’s UK Parliamentary General Election.
Voting will take place between 7.00am and 10.00pm.
To be able to vote in this by-election, eligible residents must be registered to vote by 12 midnight on Tuesday 24 September.

“If you’re eligible to vote in these by-elections, it is important you have the opportunity to use your vote by making sure you are registered,” said Returning Officer Des Murray.
“It’s quick and easy to register on-line using your national insurance number and date of birth.”
