Grants are available from the National Lottery for community events to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.

Applications are now open for grants of between £300 and £10,000 for small scale, community driven events over the public holiday weekend of 6 to 8 May.

Lord Lieutenant for Lanarkshire, Susan Lady Haughey CBE, said: “The Coronation on 6 May will be an historic and memorable occasion, with a weekend of events planned across the UK.

“I hope Lanarkshire will join these festivities with community events bringing people of all ages and cultures together to celebrate the start of our new King’s reign.

“It could be an opportunity to get together with friends and neighbours at a street party or cultural festival, or a way of making improvements to the local environment. So if you have an idea, submit your application to the National Lottery and start planning your celebrations!”

For more information and to submit an application, visit How you can commemorate His Majesty The King’s Coronation | The National Lottery Community Fund (tnlcommunityfund.org.uk)

Applications should be submitted as soon as possible to allow time for them to be considered and funding awarded ahead of the Coronation.
