Three new Multi Use Games Areas (MUGAs) have opened for hundreds of children to enjoy.

Councillor Angela Campbell, Convener of Education, Families and Children officially opened the multi-use games areas at Kilsyth Primary School, Ravenswood Primary School in Cumbernauld and St Aidan’s Primary School in Wishaw.

The areas are designed to be flexible with the option of a whole range of sports including basketball and football for all ages of primary pupils.

A separate community entrance means that locals can use the new facilities outside school hours.

Around each MUGA there is an oval running track and sprint lanes to help promote fitness and athletics.

The surfacing is a polymeric anti-slip surface featuring each with the school colours.
