Our Active and Creative team is thrilled to announce a unique cultural event at Airdrie Town Hall on Saturday 31 August.
In partnership with Albert Bartlett, we are proud to host the celebrated ballet dancer Reece Clarke as he returns to his hometown.
Reece will be accompanied by a select group of dancers from The Royal Ballet, offering an exclusive performance that will showcase some of the finest ballet talent in the world.
Provost Kenneth Duffy welcomed the announcement saying: "The two events will mark the remarkable journey of the Airdrie-born Clarke brothers and their outstanding achievements with The Royal Ballet."
Reece and his three elder brothers began their dance training at the Janis Ridley School of Dance before progressing to The Royal Ballet School, where they pursued their dreams of becoming professional ballet dancers.
Since joining The Royal Ballet in the 2013/14 Season, Reece has achieved significant milestones, including winning the Emerging Artist Award in 2016 and earning promotions to First Artist, Soloist, First Soloist, and finally Principal in 2022.
Reece’s appearances with the company have included Romeo, Prince Siegfried (Swan Lake), Prince Florimund (The Sleeping Beauty), Prince (The Nutcracker), The Prince (Cinderella), Polixenes and Antigonus (The Winter’s Tale), Des Grieux (Manon), Dr John Brown (Like Water for Chocolate), and Colonel ‘Bay’ Middleton (Mayerling).
