We’re now taking bookings for this year’s Tenant Conference - the showcase event in the tenant participation calendar.

‘Living Local’ is the theme of this year’s conference with the focus being on bringing together tenants and residents from across North Lanarkshire. And we want to see you there!

Taking place on Saturday 4th November in the fantastic Newmains and St. Brigid’s Community Hub, the event opens for registration at 9am with the conference getting underway at 10am.

On the day there will be interactive presentations, including sessions discussing antisocial behaviour and digital progress, together with our popular marketplace and an opportunity for tenants to put questions to housing staff and find out what’s happening in their local community.

There will also be a fun quiz and recognition paid to residents as our local hero awards are announced. North Lanarkshire Federation of Tenants and Residents will launch its new web page. This, together with lunch and raffles will round off another successful event which plays a key role in involving tenants and residents in housing services.

Contact our Tenant Participation team at  tenantparticipation@northlan.gov.uk or call 07890 438431 and book your place today. This is an accessible event, open to everyone and anyone requiring any assistance with transport should contact the team to arrange this.

Tracy Lennon, Tenant Participation Manager, said: “Last year’s event was more popular than ever and I’m confident our conference will continue to grow. We want to see and hear from people of all ages, with a range of experiences and living across North Lanarkshire’s communities.

“The conference provides an excellent opportunity for tenants and residents to hear first-hand of the progress we’re making in a range of areas including delivering more homes for rent, improvements across communities and plans for future investment. It’s a great place to meet with other tenants, organisations and staff and feel part of your housing community. Please come along and be part of our conference."
