Details of how our services are operating over the festive period, including registration offices, social work services and bin collections.

Your rent

Your rent helps to pay for services for tenants, therefore it’s important to pay your rent on time. If you are struggling to make your rent payments, we can help. Please contact us as soon as possible.

Rents online

The service will be unavailable from 23 December until 3 January.

To allow us to help you with your rent enquiry or payment either online or on the telephone you will need to provide your rent reference number, this can be found on your annual statement and rent increase letter.

Manage your rent account online

As well as making a payment online you can view your rent balance, set up a Direct Debit and download a rent statement.

Please note:

  • You can only access these services if you are currently the main or joint tenant of a residential property.
  • If you are the tenant of a lock-up or garage site only you must download a Rent Direct Debit Mandate below.
  • When setting up a Direct Debit online, you will be asked to enter a value to cover any potential future outstanding balance on your rent account, even if your account is showing in credit. This amount will only ever be added to your Direct Debit if your rent account falls into arrears.
  • If you are a former tenant, the balance you will see will relate to your last tenancy.

To access these services, you will need a MyAccount.

Start your registration for MyAccount.

Direct Debit

Direct Debit is the quickest and easiest way to ensure your rent is paid on time. You can set this up online or if you are unable to do this online you can call us on 0300 555 0106 to set this up.

Our office is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9am to 4.30pm, Thursday 9am to 12 noon and Friday 9am to 4pm.

How often do I have to pay rent?

You can pay your rent at a frequency that is suitable for you, however, it should always be made within the payment period. The table of payment dates included below will show you when payments should be made to avoid falling into arrears.

Rent is charged over 48 weeks of the year, rather than 52 weeks, this means there are four weeks when you do not need to make a payment - two weeks in the summer and two weeks at Christmas. These can be seen in the table of payment dates.

If your rent account is in arrears you should continue to make payments to your rent account during the four rent-free weeks to reduce the balance.
