Food hygiene training

Training is an essential part of good food hygiene practice and is a legal requirement for any food handler.

Elementary and intermediate level food hygiene courses, as approved by the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS), are available at several local educational institutions and are aimed at local companies and local residents.

The elementary course provides basic food safety training for all groups of food handlers, while the intermediate course is intended for those who already have basic skills.
