Every four years, we must set equality outcomes to reduce the disadvantage experienced by people with particular characteristics. These characteristics are defined by the Equality Act 2010.
We are beginning to set our outcomes for 2025-2029 by gathering information about what we know about our people and the disadvantages they experience about key aspects of our work.
They cover:
- Housing
- Support for Employment and Business
- Tackling Poverty
- Education - Educational Attainment
- Education - The School Environment
- Education - Positive Destinations
- Influencing Decision-Making Process and Services
- North Lanarkshire's Places and Spaces
- North Lanarkshire Council Services and Information
- North Lanarkshire Council Employment
We would like you or your organisation to comment on these proposed outcomes by completing the questionnaires in the documents listed below.
The documents provide information on what the evidence tells us and about the outcomes we want to achieve.
You can comment on as many outcomes as you feel are relevant to you. There are 10 in total.
The questionnaires will be ‘live’ until 20 December. We will then gather all views submitted and finalise our outcomes and related actions and measures before publishing in April 2025.
If you would like more information or would like to comment differently, then please email equality@northlan.gov.uk
