Weather warning for Storm Eowyn - Service Updates

The Council has been working to clean up debris, fallen trees and damage from the strong winds and widespread disruption brought about by Storm Éowyn on Friday 24 January.

All schools and education establishments with the exception of St Brendan's Primary and Nursery, Muirhouse will be open on Monday 27 January. Further service updates can be found here.

Latest updates

Storm Éowyn brought powerful winds and widespread disruption to the region and teams from across the council are working hard on the clean-up.

We have had hundreds of staff working in the worst of weather yesterday and through the night to remove trees, debris and secure buildings from storm damage. While the clean-up will be extensive over the next few weeks, we would like to thank everyone who has worked so hard during the storm in really difficult conditions.

We continue to make assessments on facilities and venues for storm damage this weekend.
