Children's Services Plan

North Lanarkshire Children’s Services Partnership

North Lanarkshire Children’s Services Partnership works together to deliver services and support that improve outcomes for children, young people and families. The partnership brings together public bodies, youth representation and community and voluntary sector representation.

In North Lanarkshire, our vision is for our children and young people to be loved, nurtured and empowered to thrive across all aspects of their lives. We will work collaboratively with children and their families and our partners to ensure our children have the best start in life and are supported to fulfil their potential. We will do this by making sure we have the right supports available, at the right time and delivered in the right places to ensure equity for all.

Our planning and delivery of children’s services is underpinned by the 'United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child' (UNCRC).

We have produced a partnership agreement, developed with young people, setting out how we work with children and young people and support meaningful engagement and participation.

North Lanarkshire Children’s Services Plan

Every three years the partnership publishes a children’s services plan and every year, publishes a report on how the plan has been progressed. The Children’s Services Plan brings together background information on children’s services in North Lanarkshire and summarises our shared priorities and what we want to achieve in the areas where we work together.

The children’s service partnership and plan links with national and local legislation, policy and strategy. This is set out in the children’s service partnership - strategic drivers and plan document which offers a summary of each of these links.
