Weather warning for Storm Eowyn - Friday 24 January 2025 – Service Updates

Both red and amber weather warnings have been issued for Friday 24 January 2025, as Storm Éowyn brings very strong winds and widespread disruption.

All schools and education establishments will be closed on Friday 24 January and bin collections are suspended. Further service updates can be found here.

Registration deadline for two council by-elections

Residents in the Fortissat and Mossend & Holytown council wards are reminded to make sure they are registered to vote ahead of the two by-elections next month.

Ay-election will be held in Electoral Ward 16, Mossend and Holytown, on Thursday 10 October.
