The Report of Examination was published on 24 May 2021 by the Scottish Government’s Planning and Environmental Appeals Division (DPEA), following submission of the Modified Proposed Plan and supporting documentation to the Scottish Ministers on 22 July 2020 and the start of the Examination on 20 October 2020.
The Scottish Ministers have confirmed after due consideration that the Council can proceed to Adopt North Lanarkshire Local Development Plan.
The Plan duly became operative on 6 July 2022 and will be formally published on 2 November 2022.

The Council is currently analysing the proposed modifications identified in the Report of Examination and will prepare an Adoption Plan and associated documentation for publication in due course.
