Tenants living in Milton Court, Airdrie are enjoying warmer homes after a comprehensive upgrade of their heating systems.

We have invested £500k to improve the quality of life for residents in the Airdrie tower block with 50 properties benefitting from the energy-efficient heating solutions.

Jim Logue, Leader of the Council explained: “Our primary goal was to provide residents with a modern heating system that not only optimises energy consumption but also ensures affordability and ease of use.

“By removing outdated heating systems and water tanks, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of those within the Milton Court community. The upgrade not only focuses on functionality but also contributes to a modern and welcoming living space.

“This significant investment aligns with our ongoing commitment to help tackle fuel poverty, reduce our carbon footprint and help local people with cost-effective solutions for a warmer and more comfortable home."

Milton Court resident Irene Higgins said: “I’m delighted with the new heating. My house is much warmer, especially with this cold weather, and the installation team were really helpful. I’m also going to be saving money on my bills which is a great help with the sky-high costs just now.”
