North Lanarkshire Outdoor Access Forum (NLOAF)

The NLOAF was formed under the provisions of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 and is a group of people who meet to discuss ways of improving and managing non-motorised public access in North Lanarkshire.

The group helps us and the public with access rights under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, rights of way, and other areas including the further development and review of strategies and plans.

Who can join?

Anybody can be a forum member. You don't need to be a legal expert or even be a member of an organisation. What you do need is a desire to become involved with access to the outdoors and be prepared to work with others to achieve a common purpose. Do you see the bigger picture and not just issues that affect you?

Interested?

There are four groups on the forum that we represent:

  • land managers (groups or individuals)
  • governing bodies and groups representing participants in outdoor access
  • relevant public agencies
  • local communities (groups or individuals)

If you would like to express an interest in the forum, please contact us.

Meetings

The forum meets twice a year, with one standard meeting and one AGM. Occasionally, we may have to call a special meeting to discuss issues relating to our main objectives.
