We are moving to a new online system for booking your vehicle and making payment for your taxi fitness test and other taxi-related services.
Online booking requirements
To ensure the details that we hold are accurate and when your vehicle is next due for a fitness test, you are required to access your My Account to add your booking.
If you currently do not have a My Account, then you can create one. Creating an account is quick and easy and can be used 24/7 from any device.
Register for My Account to add your booking.
If you already have a My Account but have forgotten the password, you can reset it using the ‘forgot my password’ link on the page.
Implementation process
We are implementing the new online booking system in two phases.
During the first phase, you will continue to phone the current number, 01698 506241 and our support team will add your booking and take payment as normal.
At the time of booking, you will need to tell us the following information:
- Your operator’s licence number, the area you operate in and the expiry date of operator’s licence.
- Vehicle details: make, model, colour, date of first registration, engine size.
You are still required to bring the relevant documents for checking when attending your appointment:
- Valid insurance
- V5C registration document
- Bill of sale (applicable if new or change of vehicle), green part of the new keepers’ supplement from the V5C
- EU type approval type approval certificate, and certificate of conformity (rear entry purpose adapted/purpose-built vehicles only),
You will no longer receive a paper copy of your pass certificate, instead, you will receive your pass certificate via email.
As we progress to the new online system, we aim to move to a paperless system and your normal postal reminder will no longer be issued. Instead, you will receive your reminder notification via email.
We acknowledge that this is a significant change and are committed to making the transition as smooth as possible.
You will be contacted in the coming weeks to advise when you will begin to use the new online system.
