Temporary core path closures

We sometimes need to close core paths to protect the public from danger or to allow essential work to take place.

Core path 328 - Pather Cemetery

From Monday 23 September 2024, for a period of approximately 30 weeks, the main path through Dimsdale Road (highlighted RED on the map below) will be temporarily closed to allow contractors to construct the new Pather Farm Cemetery. This will involve groundworks and moving machinery and will require the existing path to be out of use.

Under section 15 of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, North Lanarkshire Council has in the interest of public safety, agreed to the temporary closure of the existing path.

We apologise for any inconvenience whilst these works are taking place and thank you for your understanding.

A recommended diversion is shown in BLUE below.
