Honey fungus is a parasitic fungal disease that affects garden trees and shrubs in the UK. This is caused by Armillaria mellea and Armillaria gallica which attacks both broadleaf and coniferous trees as well as other shrubs and plants.
The disease gets it name from the honey coloured toadstools it produces in the autumn.
