Since August 2006 we are co-located with St Aloysius' Primary and Honeywell Nursery Class in a Public Private Partnership (PPP) School.  We have a gym hall, staff resource base, and tutorial room for each school and our Community Room, Dining Hall and Audio Visual room are shared. The dining hall is also used as a gym and an assembly room. We also use the local Library for lending and enjoy spending time in our school allotment which is situated off campus within the local community.

The staffing complement includes a Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and 13 class teachers. Support staff includes 2 Clerical Assistants, 1 Classroom Assistant and we currently have 3 full time Additional Support Needs Assistants.  The current school role is 320.

Chapelhall Primary School aims to provide a stable and stimulating environment in which our pupils will grow in confidence, gain self-esteem and develop to their individual potential. We work closely with our campus colleagues with a number of shared events each year including a joint carol service, joint Christmas Parties and a P7's Burns Supper.

The curriculum in Chapelhall Primary is broad and well planned in line with Curriculum for Excellence.  Extra-curricular activities include gymnastics, netball, football, multi sports and Lego clubs run by school staff and Active Schools. We are delighted to have gained a second Sports Scotland Gold Award for our PE participation. The school has a strong pupil council and an eco/fair trade committee and have successfully gained 5 Green Flags and maintained our Fairtrade Status for 7 years. Instrumental tuition is available for string and brass instruments.

The school enjoys excellent relationships with our parent body and have a strong Parent Group (incorporating Parent Council).  We use our Twitter feed to communicate with our parents regularly about our activities and events as well as email. Parents are welcome to participate in classroom activities including our regular visits to our allotment and to the local library and regularly assist on educational outings.  The Parent Group also organises a number of events which are very well supported throughout the year.  There are very good links with Caldervale High School, our associated Secondary School, and all other primary schools in the area.

Pupils normally transfer from primary to secondary between the ages of 11.5 and 12.5 years, so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least 4 years of secondary education. Primary 7 pupils from Chapelhall Primary School participate in transitional programmes with Caldervale High School, the school which they normally transfer to.
