Glasgow City Region has kicked off a procurement exercise which will dramatically boost the number of electric vehicle (EV) charge points across the Region’s eight council areas.

Residents at John Smith Court in Airdrie are benefiting from a major improvement project that has made upper-floor homes more accessible for older people and those with reduced mobility.

All 36,000 council homes will be fitted with ultrafast broadband within at least five years – a first of this scale for any council in the UK.

For the second year in a row our new housing supply programme achieved the second highest number of affordable homes completed by any local authority across Scotland.
