Using Crowdfunding as a new way of raising money is the subject of a series of free events for local organisations.

Four sessions have been organised by Kelvin Valley & Falkirk LEADER and Crowdfunder UK offering workshops and one-to-one coaching.

The sessions, which are open to anyone, take place on:

  • Wednesday 20 March from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, at the Freedom City Church, Cumbernauld
  • Thursday 25 April from 10.30am to 11.30am, at East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action, Kirkintilloch
  • Monday 20 May from 6.00pm to 7.00pm in Glenbervie Golf Club, Larbert

Coaches will also be on hand for a chat about potential projects after each of the events.

Yvonne Weir, Enterprise Manager at North Lanarkshire Council commented: "The workshops are short, informative and will introduce attendees to the concept of Crowdfunding, as well as how to design and run a successful campaign.

"For those in eligible North Lanarkshire LEADER areas (Croy, Kilsyth, Queenzieburn and Banton) there is also the offer of one-to-one expert coaching. This is an opportunity not to be missed and presents an innovative and exciting way to raise funds for worthwhile community and business causes."
