We'd encourage people to attend these meetings so that they can play their part in the community planning process and highlight issues which matter to them. Partner organisations also come along to these meeting to discuss community safety, and representatives from the NHS will also be there.

The Local Area Partnership Meetings now have an enhanced Community Matters section on the agenda. People are encouraged to have their say on issues affecting them, and also cover a variety of topics from community safety to roads and transportation issues, to major housing developments, from local NHS issues to the progress of the Local Development Programme.

The Local Development Programme covers a range of projects including new and enhanced play areas, off street parking, environmental improvements, local heritage projects and community safety initiatives.
